Popularity of Sony’s PlayStation VR Surprises Even the Company

Andrew House, global chief executive of Sony interactive Entertainment had his doubts about how quickly Virtual Reality would take off and when Sony had to decide how many of its virtual reality headsets to manufacture, Mr. House actually advised the company to make fewer than they were thinking of making, boy was he wrong. Consumers had purchased 915,000 of the headsets just four months after it went on sale surprising both Mr. House and the rest of the company.
